The Indian Labor Reforms – The Need in the rise of Phoenix

In furtherance to the initiatives of the Central Govt, it is reassuring and welcome that initiatives are taken up for bringing gradual but consistent changes in the Indian Labor Legislations.
From decades and way back with the constitutionalizing the Republic of India, it has been stressed and insisted that the Indian Labor Legislations need change and pertinence has always been insisted. The transition that the industry sector sought yielded no much results and this all lead to many states exhibiting poor show in industrial reforms and the FII ran away miles from the Indian Labor Scenario.
Unfortunate that the guidance factor of the Indian Labor Legislations rested much on the clerical stereotypes and coined with the adjustment mechanism rather than being an influential in bringing in a radical change for the benefits of the working community. In the process of augmenting the Indian Labor compliances neither the investor got benefitted nor the end user, but for sure benefitted the govt establishments agents who donned the hats to regulate such regulations.
This not only devastated the confidence of the entrepreneurs but also indirectly created a dent in the investors’ confidence, as such government agencies under the cover of the labor legislations, acted as class monitors than being effective liaison makers into the systems and practicalities.
The government has changed and from the day one has been insisting on inviting the investors and transforming the Indian hub into making in India phenomenon. This is welcome and absolutely required too. However what nets the web of inconclusiveness is the drastic change that need to bring in into the labor reforms, which have never played the role that is required to be played. The maximized efforts of the govt agencies in dragging the entrepreneur towards the non-priority zone and chasing for self-ratifications has done wonderful negative effect on the confidence of the industry churners.
A travel through Europe gives us the glimpses that how a state mechanism can benefit the smooth saga of manufacturing domains and how inspite of the much educated and enlightened labor clientele, the respective unions have been successful in making the world as their hub for marketing their world class manufactured products.  This is something a classical case study. India market has never been in to the Europe for marketing their products except the manhole lids and certain of products, and slight of demure. Even today the best of engines we get from Europe and class of the defense systems continues to be in the European hub!!! These states are not a sudden birth, but efforts of the all forces active working including the redressed labor reforms. Europe continues to the world premiere and wins each year the Oscar for its continued supremacy in mechanical engineering of all forms.
Can India emulate this! If yes can it sustain! Can it bring radical changes! Can the complexity of the Indian drama players and actors be starched! The answer as of now looks grim, but definitely hopeful.
However the rise is in the need of the Day and Phoenix has to be redone! The Central Govt has taken classic measures in containing the wilds in the labor legislations by promulgating the reforms, and noteworthy especially are the end of Inspection Raj/Controlled and synchronized need based inspection, Unique Labor identification Number, access to the online updates to the welfare schemes, Inspections reports to be updated within 72 hours and more importantly doing away with the clerical bigamy in quantifying the labor legislation reports. This is a beginning and welcome move too.
The world is consolidating. The Europe goes strong and the BRICS are looking for opportunity. The Eurasian Economic Union is getting formed and so are the developing countries taking a giant leap towards reforms.
Pertinent is that every act/s of transformation is always towards the Human Index growth and stressed from all the corners of the respective economy is not to bring in a foot rule mechanism to regulate such. One must trust the evolved society and not go back to the feudal systems and distribute the holocaust syndrome to the less educated people.
The Central government empowering of the Central and State agencies to be more practical and act as a mentor to the Investor and guide to the beneficiary is much appreciated and it is prudent that it has come now when the globe is at the foothills of the Indian abode.
Whether we shrug with complexities or embrace with manifolds, is the art that needs to be defined very acutely by the respective governments. Leaps are required but will be storming leap or an anchored limping leap, all will have to observe.
Ultimately the world beckons the doer and knocks with opportunities for the splendid benefits. We need to see and enjoy the sunshine during the day and not look with multiple of torches searching the natural light in the broad nights.
